Full Coverage — Quilt Coat

Description

This coat is made from a reclaimed handmade patchwork quilt with bold color, mixed prints, and visible quilting throughout. It’s a statement piece, but still easy to wear.

I didn’t expect this quilt to work as a coat. Turns out, it works better as a coat than it ever did as a quilt.

The coat is intentionally unlined. Quilts are already thick and warm, and skipping a lining keeps the fit flexible instead of bulky. Interior seams are serged for durability and a clean finish.

Fit

Relaxed, boxy fit with room to move. Cropped without feeling short, with enough sleeve length to wear comfortably. Works well layered over heavier tops.

If you’re between sizes or prefer an easier fit, this coat allows for that.

One-of-a-Kind + Custom Option

This coat is one of one and ready to ship.

A second coat can be made from the remaining portion of the same quilt as a custom order. It will not be a replica. Patch placement, proportions, and overall look will vary based on cut and fit.

Once the quilt is fully used, no additional coats will be made.
