Field Notes — Second Cut (Custom Coat)

This listing is for a custom coat made from the remaining portion of the quilt used in the original design.

You’ll choose your preferred size and length. Final layout and patch placement will vary based on the quilt and cut. No two jackets from the same quilt come out identical.

This coat is made from a reclaimed patchwork quilt with thick embroidered patches — bold color, mixed prints, and visible quilting throughout. It’s a statement piece, but still completely wearable.

The jacket is unlined on purpose. Quilts are already thick and warm, and skipping a lining keeps it flexible instead of stiff. Inside seams are serged for durability and a clean finish.

One-of-a-Kind, With a Custom Option

This jacket is one of one. A second piece can be made from the same quilt, but it will not be a replica. Pattern placement, proportions, and details will differ based on cut and fit.

Once the quilt is fully used, no additional pieces will be made.
